Description: As the user becomes more adept at using the lightning release, their electricity will be able to travel even farther distances. Now all of the user's lightning techniques (whose range is not personal) will have their range increased by +2 meters per user's character level.

[/b] Spark Expert (Rank 2)
Description: As the user becomes more adpet at using the lightning release, their electricity becomes even more powerful and acquires a stun effect. This effect causes any of the user's lightning techniques to have a 10% chance of leaving the opponent paralyzed for 1 round. Any technique that has a chance of leaving a foe paralyzed now has that percentage increased by +10%.

[/b] Spark Master (Rank 3)
Description: Twice per day, the user can cast a lightning technique that will be able to branch out and hit additional opponents. The user must deal initial damage to an opponent, but if up to two other opponents are within 5-meters of the attack then it will branch out and hit them as well. If there are more than two additional opponents within range, then the user may choose who to hit with the extra attacks. The extra attacks do not cost any additional movements or chakra.

D-rank

Name: Electric Touch
Rank: "D"
Type: Ninjutsu, Lightning
Drawbacks: Must touch the opponent.
Description: The user forms the handseals and then a layer of chakra covers both of their hands. Although this technique doesn't do any damage itself, the user can force the chakra to turn into a layer of weak electricity. Faint sparks can be seen around the user's hands and last for 1 round per character level. Everytime the user touches an opponent, then there is a 10% chance that they'll leave them paralyzed for 1 round. This is a favorite technique among taijutsu user's who like to increase the effects of their hand-to-hand techniques.

Name: Lightning Flash
Rank: "D"
Type: Ninjutsu, Lightning
Drawbacks: Must deal damage with some sort of ranged weapon.
Description: The user forms the handsigns and then runs their lightning chakra throughout a ranged weapon of any size, such as a shuriken or kunai. The weapon is imbued with an electrical current that deals extra damage and has a chance of paralyzing the foe. A weapon that deals damage, charged with Lightning Flash, deals an additional D-rank worth of damage and has a 20% chance of paralyzing the foe for 1 round. This technique is hung on the ranged weapon and disperses after 1 round per user's level.

Name: Lightning Signal Fire

Type: Ninjutsu, Lightning
Drawbacks: n/a
Description: The user forms the handseals and then points their hand a specific direction. A beam of lightning instantly shoots out of their hand. If a target is within 10 meters, and the beam touches them, then they will take damage equal to the rank of the technique. However, this jutsu is really used in a different way -- it is shot into the sky to cast a beam of light up into the atmosphere. Anybody within 500 meters of the user will be able to see this beam of lightning, so this technique is often used as a way to communicate with allies at long distances.

Name: Orbs of Paralysis

Type: Ninjutsu, Lightning

Description: The user forms the handseals and then forms a circle with their hands. The user aims their hands at their opponent and then charges up their chakra -- concentrating all of their energy into a ball of lightning. The ball of lightning can be launched toward an opponent and deals 2 hp damage per character level with a successful hit. This technique has a range of 3 meters per character level. At C-rank, this technique also deals a paralysis effect to the opponent that lasts 1 round. At B-rank, the user can shoot two balls of lightning from their hands instead of just one.

C-rank

Name: Lightning Ball
Rank: "C" (Multiple, Max 5)
Type: Ninjutsu, Lightning
Drawbacks: n/a
Description: The user forms the handseals and then multiple balls of lightning float around the user. The number of balls is equal to 1 per user's character level. Each of the orbs is about the size of a softball and can move in an area around the user of 10 meters per time this technique has been learned. The user can launch the lightning balls at a person as an attack. The balls respond to the user's will and can, therefore, evade objects and obstacles. If just one of the balls of electricity touch a person, then it will shock them and deliver 1 hp of damage for each time that the user has learned this technique. The duration of each individual orb is 1 round per character level, or until they hit somebody.

[/b] Lightning Ball: Paralysis

Description: This technique functions exactly the same as the Lightning Ball technique, except it allows the user's orbs of lightning to be imbued with the power to paralyze their victims. Upon a successful hit, the lightning orbs have a 10% chance (plus an additional 10% per time the user has learned this technique) of paralyzing the opponent for 1d3 rounds. During this time opponents will be unable to move or take any actions.
Requirements: Must know the Lightning Ball technique at least 3 times

Name: Lightning Bolt

Description: The user forms the handseals and then creates a bolt of lightning in their dominant hand, crackling and sparkling against the air. The bolt can be any color that the user chooses and almost seems to glow. The user can launch the bolt at an opponent with high speed and accuracy. The lightning bolt has a duration of 2 rounds (cannot form any other ninjutsu during this time), and deals 1d6 + 2 hp per character level of damage upon a successful hit. The bolt can be thrown up to a range of 5 meters + 5 meters per character level. Upon a successful hit, the lightning bolt disappears.

Name: Lightning Fish

Type: Ninjutsu, Lightning
Drawbacks: n/a
Description: The user forms the handsigns and creates a shark out of lightning, which can act independently from the user and move underwater. The lightning fish remains on the battlefield for up to 5 rounds and can move a distance away from the user equal to 3 meters per character level. The fish can only move underwater and not on land. If the fish hits a target, then it will deal damage equal to its rank and burst into electricity -- zapping its foe.

Name: Lightning Stream
Rank: "C" (Multiple, Max 5)
Type: Ninjutsu, Lightning

Description: The user forms the handseals and then throws their hands to the ground. A stream of lightning bursts from their hands and across the ground toward the target. The lightning is extremely fast and precise, making the lightning stream a difficult technique to dodge. This technique will deal 6 hp damage, per time the user has learned it, on a successful hit. This technique has a range of 10 meters per time the user has learned it. This technique has a +10% chance of leaving the opponent paralyzed (1d3 rounds) for each time the user has learned the technique.

Description: The user forms the handseals and then shoots a blast of lightning in a straight line toward an opponent. This technique takes place in an instant and has a range of 5 meters per user's character level. If the lightning hits an opponent, then it will shock them and deal damage equal to its rank. The lightning can conduct through special material, such as water or metal, to reach beyond its maximum range. In this case, the lightning can extend up to an additional 10 meters from its striking point (i.e. if the character chooses to strike a body of water that is 20 meters away, the Ibuki technique will burst out in a 10 meter radius from where it stuck the body of water).  Everybody caught in the burst will take damage equal to the rank of this technique.

B-rank

Name: False Darkness

Description: The user forms the handseals and then sends a lightning strike out of their mouth and toward an opponent. The strike is focused in a beam and moves in a straight line at a very high speed which makes the attack difficult to evade. The beam can be shot up to 5 meters per character level away. If it hits an opponent then it will deal damage equal to its rank, which is enough to shatter even small boulders. The user may branch off this technique and hit 1 additional opponent for every 3 character levels. Each additional target must be within 10 meters of the original target.

Name: Lightning Javelin

Description: Allows the user to create a javelin made of lightning that appears in one of their hands. The javelin can appear in whatever color the user chooses, and emits various sparks around the wielder. After forming the javelin, the user can carry it in their hand for 3 rounds before it disappears. They cannot form any other ninjutsu while this technique is active. The javelin can be hurled up to 10 meters + 5 meters per character level away. If it hits an opponent, then the javelin will deal 1d6 + 4 hp per user's character level of damage to an opponent and disappear.

Name: Lightning Release: Depth Charge

Type: Ninjutsu, Lightning
Drawbacks: The user must touch an opponent.
Description: The user forms the handseals and then summons a huge amount of electricity to course through their body. Relying upon their knowledge of Electric Touch, the user allows the lightning to run throughout their body for up to three rounds. If the user is able to hit, or otherwise touch, another person, then the electrical charge will be dispersed dealing immediate damage to whoever is caught by the current. This technique deals an amount of damage equal to its rank upon a successful hit, plus any additional taijutsu damage. Additionally, players hit with this technique have a 20% chance of being paralyzed for 2 rounds. If the user touches more than one person at the same time, then the victim is determined randomly.

Description: The user forms the handseals and causes several branches of lightning to emerge from of one of their hands. The lightning can move, and twist, as if it were sentient (so it can avoid obstacles). The user can control the lightning for up to 1 round per time they've learned this technique. Each branch can move away from the user up to 5 meters per time they've learned this technique. The user can create up to one branch of lightning per time they've learned this technique. If the lightning touches an opponent, then it will deal 2 hp per user's character level of damage and has a 10% chance of leaving the opponent paralyzed for 1d3 rounds. The lightning moves at the same speed as the user, and each strike with the lightning requires a movement.
