Description: As the user becomes more adept at using the earth release, their techniques will become even stronger and more durable. For any earth technique that uses armor, this ability raises the armor points by +1 per the user's character level.

[/b] Stone Expert (Rank 2)
Description: Experts have honed their earth techniques to such an extent that they last for an extended period of time. When the user learns this ability, all of their earth techniques (that have a duration longer than instant) will have their duration extended by 1 round for every 2 character levels.

[/b] Stone Master (Rank 3)
Description: Three times per day, the user can cast any earth technique with a delayed effect. This ability doesn't use up any additional chakra or handseals. The user can cast an earth technique and cause it to linger in the air for up to 5 rounds. The user must choose the jutsu's targets when they first cast it. At the end of the chosen duration, the earth technique will suddenly appear and affect the specified targets.

D-rank

Name: Earth Shield
Rank: "D", "C", "B", "A", "S"
Type: Ninjutsu, Earth
Drawbacks: n/a
Description: After the user forms the handseals, earth will rise up from the ground, or floor, and begin to cover the user like armor. The layer of earth creates an extra defense, making it more difficult for opponent's to attack the user. The technique lasts 1 round per time the user has learned this technique. While under the effects of this technique, the user gains +1 armor point per time they've learned the technique. The shield is extremely durable and will keep listening to the user's command, repairing itself when need be, to allow the user the full benefit of the armor for the full duration. The technique makes it slightly more difficult for a character to move, reducing their movements by 1 each round.

Description: With advanced training, the user learns how to make their Earth Shield even more durable. The user is able to increase the armor points of their Earth Shield by +1 per time they've learned this technique.

Name: Spiked Earth Defense

Description: The user's Earth Shield is modified so that it becomes an even better defense. Anybody who would try to hit the user, who is covered in an earth shield, will notice that the earth moves to defend them as if it has a mind of its own. If anyone touches the user, then the earth will form several long spikes and attempt to stab out in a flash. This technique deals a C-rank's worth of damage, to anybody who touches the user, for the entire duration of the jutsu.

Name: Earth Shuriken

Description: The user forms the handseals and is able to force the earth, or floor, to launch several earth shuriken at an opponent(s). The shuriken are sharper, and more dangerous, than an ordinary shuriken -- dealing 3 hp of damage per shuriken. The user may summon up to 5 shuriken per rank they know in this technique. The user is only able to hit up to 1 target per rank they know in this technique, but may split up the shuriken's damage however they want. This technique has a range of 3 meters per user's character level.

Name: Earth-Style Wall
Rank: "D", "C", "B", "A", "S"
Type: Ninjutsu, Earth
Drawbacks: Must put both hands on the ground/earth (unless character is at least level 10).
Description: After forming the handsigns, the user pushes their hands to the ground and causes a section of earth to rise up into the air -- cutting off opponents and acting as a potential defense. The wall is narrow, but has a width of 6 meters per rank the user knows in this technique. The user may raise this wall anywhere within 5 meters per character level. For each rank the user knows in this technique, the durability of their wall also increases -- gaining +3 armor and +15 hp every time. Once a character has reached Level 10, they do not have to put their hands on the ground to use this technique. Instead they can spew a bit of earth from their mouth which suddenly raises into the stone wall, allowing the user to cast this jutsu even inside shelters. The wall will remain on the battlefield for up to 1 round per character level, or until somebody destroys it.

Name: Pebble Shower

Type: Ninjutsu, Earth
Drawbacks: n/a
Description: After forming the proper handseals, the user sends their chakra into the earth and causes several pebbles to lift out of the ground and float into the air. These pebbles will continue to float around the user, for 1 round per character level, attracted to the user's chakra. The user may control up to 2 pebbles per time they've learned this technique. The pebbles can travel a certain distance away from the user equal to 5 meters per time the user has learned this technique. They can be used to hit one or more enemies, dealing 3 hp of damage a piece before they disappear, or the pebbles can be used to deflect opponent's taijutsu or ninjutsu attacks. If used in this way, enough pebbles must be sacrificed to equal the damage dealt by the opponent. If the opponent's damage exceeds the user's pebble defense, then the opponent's attack will be reduced by the proper amount.

C-rank

Name: Earth Golem
Rank: "C", "B", "A", "S"
Type: Ninjutsu, Earth
Drawbacks: The golems have a limited range and movements.
Description: The user forms the handseals and then causes golems, made out of stone and looking like whatever the user desires, to rise up out of the earth. These golems are of a large size and tower over an ordinary human. The golems can move within a range of 10 meters + 10 meters per user's character level. Each golem has 10 armor and 30 hp. The duration of this technique is 1 round per user's character level. The user may create up to 1 golem per rank they know in this jutsu. Each golem moves as if it had a Stamina stat of 12 (3 movements per round). The golems may attack by slamming part of their body into an opponent, thereby dealing a C-ranked amount of damage with each successful hit. However, the golems can also act as a mobile shield.

Name: Earth Hammer

Drawbacks: Must be used on a primary weapon.
Description: The user forms the handseals and then slams their weapon into the ground or floor. Suddenly a layer of stone rises up and coats the weapon. This ability remains active for 1 round per character level. The weapon that is targeted with this technique now deals bludgeoning damage, regardless of whatever damage it dealt before. The weapon now deals an additional +1 hp of damage per user's character level.

Description: Same as Earth Hammer, except the weapon that is coated with the technique is now able to deal +3 hp of bludgeoning damage per character level (instead of +1 like before).

Name: Earth Hold
Rank: "C"
Type: Ninjutsu, Earth
Drawbacks: n/a
Description: The user causes two, large sections of earth to lift out of the ground and on either side of an opponent. In a moment, the two slabs crush together and sandwich the opponent between them. The opponent cannot move while the rock walls have them pinned, but they may use a movement one per round to try to escape the jutsu. To escape the Earth Hold an opponent must roll 1d20 + Stamina, and beat a DC of 10 + 1 per user's character level + user's Chakra. If the opponent rolls higher, then they may fight their way out of the rocks with their strength. If they do not, then the opponent may be pinned for up to 5 rounds. While the foe is under the effects of the Earth Hold, they cannot move or form any handsigns (although they can still speak, and launch certain attacks from their mouth). The Earth Hold technique has 5 armor and and 30 hp against anybody who attempts to break it. This technique has a range of 10 meters.

Name: Earth Wave Jutsu

Type: Ninjutsu, Earth
Drawbacks: Affects allies and foes alike.
Description: The user forms the handseals and then puts their hands to the ground. Suddenly the area around them begins to move and shake as if it were experiencing an earthquake, or made of waves of mud. The user must keep their hands (and concentration) on the ground for the entire duration of this technique, which is up to 5 rounds. This technique has an area of effect that is a 3 meter per character level radius from the user. Anybody caught within the area must make a concentration check to cast ninjutsu, and has their movements reduced by half due to the unstable, and shifting, landscape.
Requirements: Earth chakra nature. Chakra stat of at least 14. 

Name: Stone Plate Coffin

Type: Ninjutsu, Earth
Drawbacks: n/a
Description: The user forms the handseals and causes huge slabs of rock to form out of the ground, rising up around an opponent from every direction except upward. This technique can be cast on one target within a range of 2 meters per character level. The user immediately slams their hands together, the rock slabs slam in on one another -- and whatever unfortunate person might be trapped in the middle of the plates is crushed. This technique deals 2 hp of damage per character level to the foe trapped within. This technique also has a 20% chance of breaking bones. An opponent can break through a single direction if they deliver a B-ranked amount of damage to one of the slabs immediately before the impact (such as with a taijutsu technique).

B-rank

Name: Earth Style: Fissure
Rank: "B"
Type: Ninjutsu, Earth
Drawbacks: n/a
Description: The user may cast this technique with a range of 50 meters. The area of effect is a line 10 meters long, and 3 meters wide, that rips open in the earth. The fissure causes rocks, and other debri, to fall into the crevice and crush any opponents caught in the area. This technique affects all targets caught within its area of effect. All targets trapped within the falling debri will take an amount of damage equal to the rank of this technique. May only be used on earth, stone, or rock structures and landscapes.

Name: Iron Skin
Rank: "B" (Multiple, Max 5)
Type: Ninjutsu, Earth
Drawbacks: n/a
Description: The user forms the handsigns and then causes their skin to darken, as if it were made of hard rock, for a number of rounds equal to 1 for every 2 character levels. While in this state, the user acquires +5 Armor per time they've learned this technique and their hand-to-hand taijutsu techniques deal +2 hp of damage per character level. When the user learns this technique a maximum of five times, their jutsu becomes even more powerful and grants the user an additional +10 armor points. This technique is a favorite among earth-user's because it allows them a great defense, while also enhancing their taijutsu.
