Character Template

**Feel free to modify this template however you want as long as all of the information is still readily available.**
Basic Information
Age: Your character's age. Minimum age of 8 and maximum age of 90.
Gender: Your character's gender. Male, female, or other.
Bloodlimit: Your character's bloodlimit, if they are a part of one. Must be born into a bloodlimit, cannot become a part of one later.
Alignment: Your character's alignment. See this link for more details.
Rank: Your rank as a shinobi. Genin for new members (unless you have a special position or are a non-ninja).
Level: Your character's level as determined by experience points. Level 1 for new members.
Village: Whatever village that your character is a part of. Characters may also start as non-ninja.
Chakra Nature: Up to three base releases (fire, water, earth, wind, or lightning) that your character can use now or in the future. These can be added later, but can never be removed once selected. Base releases will determine what advanced releases your character can use later. If you'd like then you can use the images below to illustrate your chakra natures:
Stats
Stats are the basic building blocks of your character's fighting style. Characters start off with 50 stat points + 10 stat points for being Level 1, so a total of 60 stat points. Players can choose to put the points into their stats however they choose, however, reading the descriptions below will give you some insight into where you should place your stat points.
- Stamina -- This stat determines a character's physical endurance and strength. This stat is heavily related to taijutsu and physical attacks. For every 2 points in Stamina, a character gains +1 damage to all of their taijutsu attacks.
- Speed -- This stat determines whether a character is fast or slow, and is depicted in battle through number of movements. This stat is used by all characters, since a person's speed can influence any part of a battle strategy. For every 4 points in Speed, a character gains +1 movement.
- Health -- This stat determines how healthy and durable a character is. All characters need to be able to protect themselves, although some players more than others. This stat applies to a character's defenses against physical attacks and illness. For every 2 points in Health, a character gains +5 health points (HP).
- Chakra -- This stat determines how much chakra a character has, which is a special energy resulting from the perfect mixture of physical and mental energies. Chakra is not needed by all characters, especially those who rely on taijutsu, but all characters need at least 2 points in chakra to function. Any creature that has a 2 or less in the Chakra stat cannot cast ninjutsu or genjutsu. For every 2 points in Chakra, a character can cast +5 handseals per post.
- Will -- This stat determines how much mental and spiritual power a character might possess. Some characters have a lot of will power, while others not so much. This stat can help a person resist the effects of genjutsu and other mind-affecting techniques. For every 2 points in Will, a character gains +2 to genjutsu resistance.
Skills
Skills are aspects of your character that can be used to determine specific outcomes. Although you won't start off with any points in skills at character creation (unless you have techniques which give them to you), you'll gain them over the course of the game. There are additional skills that can be unlocked later in the game as well.

Traits
A list of the traits, and their ranks, that your character has. New members start with 2 trait points (TP) that can be put into any trait for which they meet the requirements. The trait index can be found here, while more traits can be found throughout the site.
Classes
This is a list of the classes to which your character belongs. A "class" is a system of techniques (such as a release, clan, trait, etc.) outlined in the Index or in Customs which can be taken by a character. A character may only take a specific number of classes (class slots) equal to their class points. A character gains 2 class points per level. Furthermore there are a few specific rules for classes outlined below:
- Characters may only have 1 Bloodlimit which must be selected at character creation.
- Characters may only be a part of up to 3 Clans outside of their Bloodlimit.
- Characters may only have up to 3 Base Releases.
- Characters may only have up to 2 Advanced Releases.
- Characters may only be a part of up to 3 Illusions.
- Characters may only have up to 5 traits, only 3 of which can be Special Traits.
- Characters may only be a part of 1 Summoning Family.
Detailed Information
Appearance: Your character's appearance. Be as descriptive as possible. What does their hair look like? Their skin? What type of clothes do they wear? Should be at least three paragraphs.
Personality: Your character's personality. Be as descriptive as possible. How does your character behave? What are their likes and dislikes? Their goals? Should be at least three paragraphs.
History: Your character's background. What happened to them throughout their life? Feel free to use places and lore from the site. Should be at least three paragraphs. If you are looking to build a history involving other players for your personal plots, try using our Roleplay Requests board to find other players!
Tools
A list of the character's tools with descriptions that have been copy and pasted from the Index. New members get up to 20,000 ryo to spend on any items in the Item Index for which they meet the requirements.
Jutsu
A list of all the character's techniques and jutsu that they know which have been copy and pasted from the Index. All new members get 100 EXP to put into any classes, and techniques, for which they meet the prerequisites. Many members choose to split the list of jutsu that they know into multiple sections, in order to reference it easier. All characters start off knowing the Tree Climbing and Water Walking techniques automatically.
